If a user should require to logout of an authenticated session simply click the "Log out" button which is fixed in the footer at the bottom left corner of the screen.
The Log out button will appear on any authenticated page when a user is successfully logged in.

Click to Log out of the Port-Log system.
Once logged out, the portion of the current page that requires authentication is replaced by the logout successful message and the login screen:
