5.1.1 Console

This page allows authenticated users to see status and diagnostics data about deployed hardware and the communication telemetry between them. In addition it provides access to the Configuration pages where telemetry switches can be modified.
1

Group Name

1. Group Name
Hardware are grouped by their enclosure types, i.e Base Station or Out Station. Depending on local system configuration, further groups can be created to logically divide the system.
2

Power Status

2. Power Status
When fitted and connected to a supported telemetry device, power status and voltage can be displayed and recorded. The image indicates the power source at the time of the last data transmission and can be either Mains, Battery or Solar. Alongside, the voltage is reported at the time of the last data transmission. The power status image and voltage can be clicked to open a popup with a 48 hour historical time-series graph of the enclosure voltage.
If no power status information has been received for more than half an hour the image is watermarked with a "?" icon to indicate lack of up to date information.
If power state and voltage monitoring is not fitted or not connected to a supported telemetry device, the power status display is replaced by "---" to indicate missing data.
3

UHF Signal Strength

3. UHF Signal Strength
Where fitted, this represents the amplitude of the UHF telemetry in Rx mode, i.e the quality of the signal that it is receiving. The measurement is made in dbm and converted into a signal strength percentage.
If the UHF device has been deactivated from the Configuration page then the icon will show in grey with a red "X" marking the UHF as disconnected. If no signal status information has been received for more than half an hour the image is watermarked with a "?" icon to indicate lack of up to date information. If UHF telemetry is not fitted, the signal strength indicator column will not be populated.
4

UHF Data Age

4. UHF Data Age
Where fitted, this represents the age of the latest received data records via the UHF telemetry route. A traffic light system provides a quick indication of Good (green), Caution (Amber) and Warning (Red) for data age <5 mins, 5-15 mins and > 15 mins. Should the connection have dropped for considerable time the age value will indicate the number of hours or days that the connection has been unavailable for.
Clicking the traffic light or age indicator opens a popup which details the latest file to be received over the UHF system along with the message details within the files. For more details of the data transmission text strings please refer to the Engineers operations manual.  If UHF telemetry is not fitted, the signal strength indicator column will not be populated.
5

Alerts

5. Alerts
Any active alerts for the selected site (resulting from the sensor, enclosure or any of the hardware within it) will cause the alerts warning to appear. Clicking on it will open a popup detailing all active alerts for the enclosure or the hardware within it.
6

GPRS Data Age

6. GPRS Data Age
Where fitted, this represents the age of the latest received data records via the GPRS telemetry route. A traffic light system provides a quick indication of Good (green), Caution (Amber) and Warning (Red) for data age <20 mins, 20-30 mins and > 30 mins. Should the connection have dropped for considerable time the age value will indicate the number of hours or days that the connection has been unavailable for.
Clicking the traffic light or age indicator opens a popup which details the latest file to be received over the mobile data GPRS network along with the message details within the files. For more details of the data transmission text strings please refer to the Engineers operations manual.  If GPRS telemetry is not fitted, the signal strength indicator is replaced by "---" to indicate missing data.
7

GPRS Signal Strength

7. GPRS Signal Strength
Where fitted, this represents the amplitude of the mobile GPRS network strength according the the mobile network provider during the last communication cycle. The measurement is recorded as a percentage and is represented by a <5 bar icon.

If the GPRS device has been deactivated from the Configuration page then the icon will show in grey with a red "X" marking the GPRS as disconnected. If no signal status information has been received for more than half an hour the image is watermarked with a "?" icon to indicate lack of up to date information. If a GPRS problem persists, an icon like this - - may be present on the Console page. Any active alerts will give further information - i.e, if GPRS information hasn't been received for X number of days.
